of special reserves. Pench is one of the most accessible tiger reserves in
the country, just 90 kilometres (1 hour and 30 minutes) north of Nagpur. The
Reserve is located in the southern reaches of the Satpura hill range in the
Seoni and Chhindwara districts in the Madhya Pradesh State of India. The terrain
is undulating, with most of the area covered by small hills, steeply sloping
on the sides. The description of its natural beauty, richness in flora and
fauna has appeared in numerous wildlife books dating back to the 17th century.
Books written in the 19th and early 20th century by famous naturalists like
Captain J. Forsyth and Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book explicitly present the
detailed panorama of nature's abundance in this tract Season:
The Pench National Park is open to the visitors from November 01st to June 30th each year and closed during the rainy seasons (July- October)
Room Amenities:
Each tent housed on the permanent foundation has a spacious and elegantly furnished living room with private tea coffee making facility, a mini bar and safe deposit. Private and spacious en suite bathroom has running hot and cold water, flush toilet, space for shower and a vanity counter. Each tent has 220 V electricity connection with battery recharging facility.

Food & Dinning Facility:
Inspired by the ethnic architecture, a centrally located apartment structure houses, an open and spacious dinning hall and modern kitchen serving vegetarian and non- vegetarian Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisine. The dinning area has a fire- place to keep warm in the cool evenings while you enjoy your dinner. Open bar "Chaupal" located at the campfire place has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and is an ideal place to relax after a day of sight seeing.

What To Wear and Carry:
Casual summer clothing with natural colors is best from March to May. Sunglasses and sun hats are preferable. From November to February, carry warm clothing for chilly mornings and misty evenings. Battery torches are advised.

Airport - Sonegaon Airport, Nagpur (92 kms. from the Park) Nagpur is the nearest airport connected to Delhi & Mumbai and other places by regular flights. Jabalpur (192 kms.) also serves as a convenient airhead with regular flights from Delhi.

Jabalpur (192 kms.) also serves as a convenient railhead connected to Delhi and other parts of the country. Numerous Rajdhani Express Trains from Delhi conveniently connect to Nagpur like, the Delhi- Chennai, Delhi- Bangalore & Delhi- Bilaspur trains.
A 12 Km metalloid road from Khwasa check post (located 81 kms. from Nagpur- Jabalpur National Highway No. 7) leads to the Reserve and the camp. There are 12 deluxe safari style canvas tents housed on permanent foundation with equipped with showers and tiled bathrooms . Each spacious tent can easily accommodate an extra bed .
